Marble Fireplace Trim, signed DiediSheim, Art Deco period – 1920

This decoration consists of a clock and two casserole dishes. The ovoid-shaped clock was made according to the codes of the art deco period from three different marbles. The facade and top feature red vitrolles marble highlighted on the edge by a brass rod. The ocher-colored dial is graduated with arabic numerals and bears the coat of arms of the nantes brand diedisheim. The rear was made with rosé vif marble from the pyrenees. The movement is hidden behind a circular plate in openwork and crafted brass. The whole rests on vert de mer marble feet. The cassolettes, which flank the clock, complete the whole and add to its harmony. Also designed from rouge de vitrolles and vert de mer marble, also highlighted by a brass rod. It has an oval top with cavity and a slightly domed barrel.
