Small opaline vase from Empoli, Tuscany, Florence region, by the Italian glassworks Stelvia, from the "Romantica" series (1960). Milky blue-white body, semi-translucent. Milky blue-white transparent foot. Opalescent and iridescent reflections. Cup or chalice shape with a flared and wavy neck. Twisted striated patterns. Fine and delicate craftsmanship, full of voluptuousness, characterising the know-how and excellence of Florentine glassmakers, the renown of the region's glassworks, inspired by the Venetian excellence of Murano, dating back to the 16th century. Handcrafted, hand-blown glass, unique piece, in excellent condition. The object, new, originally bore a label marked "Lavorazione a mano, fabricato in Toscana, Italia" ("handmade, made in Tuscany, Italy"), typical of Stelvia glassworks productions. Height: 18.3 cm.
