The T510 "Glade" pine veneer pendant light was created in 1963 by legendary Hans Agne Jakobsson for Ellysett AB in the town of Markaryd, Sweden. It consists of 9 rings of pine veneer on a pine frame forming a tapering upwards and down. It has a stunningly warm and decorative light effect when lit. It was made in two sizes and this on is the smaller version with a diameter of 30 cm. This type of construction with thin sheets of veneer carefully bent around a wooden frame was first invented by Hans-Agne Jacobsson and produced by the company Ellysett. Jakobsen was a master at inventing new ways to use various material for lamps and came up with the idea of passing light through thin veneer in this way. It is in reasonably good condition with two nags in the wood as seen in the pictures. The wood on the lower ring has also taken some discoloration from the nails. The construction is still tight and sturdy. Not bad considering that the light is almost 60 years old.
