1 rare vintage 1950's original enamel daily telegraph newspaper advertising plaque sign. A highly sought after famous newspaper collectors enamel man cave sign. The daily telegraph, commonly referred to simply as the telegraph. Is a national british daily broadsheet newspaper published in london by telegraph media group and distributed across the united kingdom also internationally. It was founded by arthur b. Sleigh in 1855 as daily telegraph & courier. The telegraph is widely regarded as a national "newspaper of record" and it maintains an international reputation for quality, the paper's motto, "was, is, and will be". Bought from a retired fleet street journalist. White background with dark blue lettering. For use indoors or outdoors. With a hole on the top and bottom to be screwed or nailed onto your wall. No screws and no nails are included. Circa mid 20th century, 1950's. Made from vitreous enamel on metal, which has been slotted fitted onto a thin plywood back which has composite filler in between. Condition report. Offered in fine old charming used well worn condition. Having various staining, loss of enamel in places, scuffs, scratches, wear marks, also some composite filler missing in places commensurate with usage & age.
