Portrait painting of a lady signed Johann Grund and dated 1869

COD 01027. Great oval depicting a splendid portrait of a lady, of remarkable pictorial quality. Oil on canvas, first canvas, painting dated 1869 and signed J. Grund, attributable to the famous Austrian portraitist Johann Grund (1808-1887) (The painting is not currently accompanied by an expertise, but it is possible to request it upon payment of the relevant additional costs). His stylistic figure is found in his famous portraits, where we do not see simple figures but living and internally complex presences. Also in this case the enchanting girl seems to come to life on the canvas, inhabited by a psychological depth that amplifies her expressive force. Magnificent contemporary frame gilded  in wood and plaster, with some small missing parts (see photo). Overall painting in good state of conservation. Interior size H 81 X W 65.5 cm.
