Old Japanese box in red lacquered wood 1920

Old Japanese box in rectangular black and red lacquered wood "fumibako" for storing letters. On the lid: 2 paintings separated by a golden frame. The lid is speckled with gold and decorated with 2 birds perched on a flowering branch and signed by the artist. The inside of the box is covered with black lacquer paint and loaded with gold glitter. Signature of the artist, see photos. Dimensions: 10.4 x 30 x 7.5 cm. Very nice box with lock but without the key. Small wear, chips in the lacquer on one side and below, small restorations to be expected, see photos. Period before 1920.
