Elegant covered box made of Japanese Satsuma-style ceramic, hand-decorated with a majestic heron amidst flowering vegetation. The piece features a beautiful ivory glaze with fine crackling, characteristic of ceramics from this tradition, as well as a red signature 安田造 (Yasuda) painted on the body of the box. The delicate and poetic decoration depicts a heron, a symbol of longevity and harmony in Japanese art.
