Antique hand-painted earthenware tureen from Vieux Strasbourg Sarreguemines

This superb antique tureen is made of Sarreguemines earthenware. It is a generously sized tureen decorated with delicate hand-painted flowers. The handle is shaped like a trompe-l'œil fruit. I believe it is from the "Old Strasbourg" pattern – the flowers are rendered with great detail and finesse. This tureen is marked "DV SARREGUEMINES" in black and measures 24 cm high by 30 cm in diameter. It is in good overall condition, with some signs of wear: a chip, stains, and cracks under the glaze.
