Description
Pretty little painting from the 60s, watercolor and ink on paper, of a naked woman lying down smoking. The painting is signed by the french artist auguste vuillemot (1883-1970) and bears the artist's authenticated "wet" stamp on the reverse. Work on paper under glass, wooden and stucco frame, 1950s period. The subject occupies all the space, it recalls the time of women's liberation, pre-68, of freedom in general where worries and smartphones were less present. Lots of charm, both by the subject, by its format, by its charming rockery setting and finally by the typical treatment of the 50s/60s. Frame dimensions: 24/15/4cm and 20/10cm for drawing weight: 450gr.
