These two items come from the ceramic craftsmanship of Vallauris (more specifically from the creations of the Le Brescon workshop). The incised signature in the clay corresponds to the Le Brescon workshop, a handmade pottery that was active in Vallauris. Origin: The name refers to the manufacture located on Avenue du Brescon in Vallauris. Era: This workshop produced many service pieces and table art objects (jugs, dishes, bowls) mainly during the golden age of Vallauris ceramics, around the 1950s to 1960s. Style: Their creations are often recognised by their white, speckled or marbled glazed backgrounds, adorned with hand-painted motifs (often floral or botanical).
