Adorable oven or gratin dish, round, from the brand by pyr-o-rey dynaware, the mexican pyrex! It is made of white tempered glass decorated with a vintage brown stylized wildflower motif, called "brown daisy". It is made of extra-resistant opaline glass, dishwasher and microwave safe. It is in excellent condition. No shine, no lack, no chips, no cracks. The pyr-o-rey (aka dynaware) was manufactured by a mexican company called vitrocrisa (name changed to crisa, in 1995) s.a., founded in 1940 in monterrey, mexico. This company produced glass articles such as cups, bowls, tableware, pots and other kitchen utensils, many of which were similar to pyrex and other companies, and some of which bore the label "pyr-o-rey". The most common decorated opal items carry a pattern named "brown daisy". This "dynaware" motif is often confused with pyrex, it is often believed that "pyr-o-rey" is actually pyrex produced in mexico. This is not the case... Vitrocrisa claimed that the name "pyr-o-rey" came from "monterrey", the company's location. dimensions: diameter: 21.5 cm / height: 6.5 cm. weight (excluding packaging): 910 grams.
