Modern painting signed Aldo Bressanuti, city view, 20th century

Oil on wood. Signed at the bottom centre and on the back. Aldo Bressanutti, a painter and engraver from Friuli who is over a hundred years old, created numerous views of Friulian and Istrian towns, rendered in a style that was initially hyper-realistic and then evolved, from the 1970s onwards, towards a surrealist approach. This aerial view of a small town probably dates from the 1960s. Despite its fidelity to the geometry of reality, the colour palette and the style close to illustration stand out. The work is presented in a frame.
