Betel box

Betel box from the southern philippines (mindanao) in bronze with silver inlay. The top lifts to reveal four hinged compartments which hold betel leaf, areca nut, slaked lime and chewable condiments. The box is heavily inlaid with silver in a pattern used in the philippines. Dim: length 14.5 X height 7 X width 6.5 holes certainly due to lime are visible in the 2 box separators but in no way influence the overall aesthetics.
