Large Gold Wooden Mirror, France, Early 20th Century, 97 cm

A magnificent large mirror made of wood and plaster with green and gold accents; manufactured in France and bearing a maker's label on the back dated September 15, 1920. This impressive mirror features graceful, elegant ornamentation, including gilded flowers at the corners and the top center, set against a green-lacquered background and framed by a gold-colored wavy pattern. It retains its original mirror plate, which has developed a decorative patina over time; the glass shows the spotting and oxidation typical of antique mirrors—characteristics highly prized by many collectors. The piece as a whole possesses a beautiful, appealing aged patina.
