Vintage Italian Space Age floor lamp Reggiani, geometric tubes, minimal chromed

Offered for sale is a rare and attractive floor lamp in chromed metal, made in Italy around the first half of the 1970s. It is perfectly representative of the Space Age style of those years, inspired by the clean, futuristic aesthetics of space explorations, rockets and sci-fi movies. Despite being unlabeled, the lamp might well be an original design of Goffredo Reggiani, the famed lamp designer and manufacturer celebrated for his avant-garde creations rendered in chromed metal with tubular shapes. The lamp features nine interconnected metal tubes, holding a total of seventeen light bulbs. The cylinders are juxtaposed in a seemingly random yet geometrical way, with right angles defining a rigid space grid. They can, however, be arranged more freely according to one's taste. The fixture is perfectly working, and has been inspected by a certified electrician who replaced the cable, switch and plug with modern ones to ensure flawless functioning.
