Modular sofa 'Trio' by Franz Hero & Karl Odermatt for COR 1970s

In the early 1970s, sofa design shifted from practical to comfortable, exchanging straight and hard sitting for lounging and relaxing. One of the pioneers in this new movement was the COR 'Trio', an iconic low-profile seating system composed of freely configurable modules, designed for softness, comfort and maximum mobility. As a fully modular sofa, the COR 'Trio' offers almost endless variation possibilities: all elements, both seats and backrests, can be moved around so the sofa seamlessly fits your needs and living space. This specific sofa was fully reupholstered in a bold botanical print, combining the distinctive vintage 1970s design with an expressive contemporary textile, resulting in a truly unique and one-of-a-kind statement piece. This is a 5-seat sofa (2 large and 3 small base elements, 1 corner backrest, 2 small backrests and 1 large backrest). The sofa was fully reupholstered and is therefore in next to new condition.
