Parisian glazed wardrobe

The cicada has found for you this large glazed library, in solid wood, which does not lack character! I found him in a house in nimes. I immediately loved its proportions, robustness and details. It was waxed, so I stripped it with steel wool, entirely by hand. You can discover the beautiful caramel hue of wood. We immediately notice the beautiful details of this piece of furniture. The pediment is wider than the rest, and there is an engraving representing flowers and foliage (see photos). On all four sides, there are grooves of various sizes. The base is high, with a round carved in wood. The bottom of the doors and the glazing are paneled. The metal handles are carved with curves reminiscent of plant engraving. I slightly cleaned the handles to leave the patina of time. The two large glazings are intact. Inside, we discover three large solid wood shelves (very heavy!). They are waxed, the shade of the wood is dark, and are removable but placed on fixed cleats. A soft apricot color was painted by the former owners inside. A hook is placed under a shelf to block the left door. The furniture locks. 99.5 length X 51.5 depth X 196 height cm.
