This magnificent antique centrepiece is made of pressed glass and silver-plated metal. This romantic vase allows for the creation of a lovely tall centrepiece - with its bowl elevated by the cone, which is also known as a tulip holder. It will be perfect for decorating a wedding or an elegant banquet with a vintage charm. The base is made of silver-plated regulus in the Louis XV style, adorned with garlands of roses, scrolls, and ribbon bows. The base of the foot is marked "deposited", indicating it is a French piece from the 1900s. The glass features moulded diamond point and star patterns. It measures 33 cm in height and 22.5 cm in diameter. In generally good condition, I note some signs of use with scratches and traces of oxidation on the metal. The cone is removable and protected by a small paper wrap to keep it in its tube.
