Louis XV style chest of drawers / week drawer – Marquetry – Marble top

Elegant chest of drawers or tallboy in Louis XV style, narrow and elongated in shape, opening at the front with seven stacked drawers. The piece features beautiful marquetry work, with the drawer fronts arranged in a herringbone pattern and highlighted with inlays. The front posts are adorned with fluting, and the entire piece rests on four slender legs, with the front ones ending in bronze sabot feet. Each drawer is enhanced with a bronze keyhole, providing a nice uniformity to the front. The piece is topped with a marble surface in dominant beige, pink, and ochre tones, with slightly rounded corners and a molded edge. A particularly decorative piece due to its tall and narrow proportions, ideal for a bedroom, an entryway, or between two windows. Louis XV style – antique work, late 19th century.
