Description
Vase of master glassmaker marius sabino (1878-1961), model "the alveoli", in pressed glass molded satin, green. Five-sided piriform shape, each side contains the decoration that gives the name to this vase: a central petal alveola. Its manufacture dates back to 1928. It bears the number 7028 in the 1930 catalogue. Its mould was destroyed after 1945 and was therefore not reissued. One of the references of the french art glassworks of the art deco era. One of the photos shows the room with a light source placed inside, to show all the finesse of the material and patterns. Gorgeous green color for a high quality vase. Unfortunately note an accident at the base, described below. Signature under the base at the tip "sabino france". 20th century - 1930s. State: - body and collar in very beautiful condition, without cracks or shards (note a micro chip lower part of the cervix, barely visible to the naked eye). Base of the vase with a shock of 4 cm long, requiring grinding in restoration (photos with red arrows). Height: 17 cm - body diameter at the widest: 9 cm - Base diameter: 5.5 cm - collar diameter: 4 cm. Sending fast and neat, in parcels followed and insured.
