The alessi melodic kettle was designed in 1984 by richard sapper, recreating in his memory the sound of sirens made by boats crossing the german rhine river. It is an unquestionable classic in the alessi range and has been featured in many films and commercials. Although it looks inconspicuous it is a very avant-garde and original design. Its streamlined, rounded shapes will delight any user. While the polished, shiny steel does not allow you to pass by it indifferently. Its biggest secret lies in its unique whistle. The designer did not want it to produce an unpleasant tone for the ear, so he designed it in such a way that it produces a mi and si sound. He made it do this with the help of two tuners inserted into the holes of the whistle. The result was a work of functional art pleasant not only to the eye, but also to the ear. The ingenious solution for lifting the whistle by the index finger of the hand holding the handle is not only striking, but above all functional and convenient, as it minimizes the risk of burning from hot steam. Preserved in original condition, it has a delicate patina. The kettle has been cleaned, it is sprung.
