Description
Vintage Design Set of four chromed metal chairs by the architects of Centro Studi for Matteo Grassi in the 1960s. These seats, with their refined design, have a tubular structure in chromed metal. The back and seat are covered in thick tan leather. They are stitched with Sadlier, a two-needle sewing technique, very popular because it is more resistant. Each folder is stamped “Matteo Grassi”. The presence under these armchairs of two metal hoops without screws is underlined. They allow you to quickly and easily adjust the tension of the leather and therefore the firmness of the seat. Note that the latter seems suspended, due to the absence of vertical feet at the rear. This design, in addition to bringing an airy spirit to these seats, also offers the advantage of giving flexibility: they adapt to the position and morphology of the user. With their original curves, these four Matteo Grassi chairs brilliantly combine comfort and timeless design. They were initially ordered by the company Brown Boverie & Cie for their French headquarters in Nanterre. ******** Period: 1960. Original condition with normal traces of age.
