Superb little bulbous ceramic jug from Vallauris by Jean-Claude Malarmey for the Atelier du Vieux Moulin. Collection piece (1954–1957): A rare work from the very first period of the Atelier du Vieux Moulin, founded in 1954 by three classmates from the Beaux-Arts in Reims: Jean-Claude Malarmey, Robert Perot, and Dominique Baudart, just before their separation in 1957. Magnificent textured enamel work "sea foam" / fat lava with floral and geometric relief patterns (shades of green, ochre, and brown). Signature: Engraved at the tip under the base "Malarmey / Vieux Moulin / Vallauris" Dimensions: Height: 15 cm|Ø at the neck: 6 cm|Ø max (with handle): 12 cm. Condition: Impeccable. No chips, no cracks. Slight natural wear from use under the base. Very careful shipping (reinforced bubble wrap and secure cardboard).
