Headboard and footboard in Louis XVI style, made of carved wood painted grey-white, stamped by a Parisian workshop at 14 rue de Douilly, Paris. The carved frame features the canonical elements of the Louis XVI vocabulary: fluted uprights, blocks adorned with oval medallions, acanthus leaf capitals, tapered fluted feet, and friezes with ovals. The silhouette of the softly arched panels is characteristic of duchess beds from the late 18th century. The panels are reupholstered in royal blue wool, bordered with a double row of patinated bronze upholstery nails. The fabric is visibly new. The paint shows slight wear at the edges, consistent with the age of the wood. The overall condition is very good. Reupholstering in a different fabric is possible upon request by the seller's workshops. Dimensions: H. 133 cm, W. 150 cm. Compatible with a 190 X 140 cm mattress and base. Weight: 50 kg.
