Notice to collectors of unusual objects: here are funny porcelain creatures that will not leave anyone indifferent! With their black spots on their backs, their red reds and their round eyes, these funny birds disguised as leopards are not likely to go unnoticed. Imagined by the famous Austrian artist Rosemarie Benedikt for the renowned Villeroy and Boch ceramic factory, our two friends are part of the collection entitled animal park, manufactured in a limited edition and sold from 1995 to 2000. Today difficult to find, the characters resulting from this collaboration are just as zany as they are endearing, and all have a design and an expression that makes them unique. The whimsical universe of Rosemarie Benedikt, combined with the exceptional manufacturing quality of Villeroy and Boch, make these two figurines durable and highly desirable objects, which will find their place both in the living room bookcase and on the shelf of a child's bedroom. Both sculptures are in good general condition. They have no chips or cracks. Note two scratches and paint defects on the smallest. Stamped Villeroy & Boch, made in France on the bottom.
