Art Nouveau Faux Bamboo Mirror, 65cm / 25.8", Handmade, Wood, C. 1900

A refined wall mirror in the Chinoiserie style, featuring a hardwood frame shaped like bamboo. French, early 20th century. Mirrors of this type were commonly used in French entries and Parisian cafés and bistros of the time. The mirror and frame are in excellent condition; the backing shows superficial wear due to age. A good size for a bathroom, above a set of drawers, or as part of a mixed mirror wall. It has enough character to stand alone without being overly decorative. The back and mirror glass have been recently replaced, ensuring excellent condition and great clarity. It can be installed vertically or horizontally to suit your space.
