Vintage desk - Oak and maple - 1950s

We are selling an elegant modernist style desk (50s-60s), produced by the spirol brand, with a magnificent veined blond oak top. The originality of this desk lies in its tubular brass base (matched to the drawer handles), its 3-drawer unit completed by a retractable shelf to increase the work surface and by the two types of wood used (oak and maple) which enhance each other. The whole is in a very good state of conservation. Attributed to jacques hitier (1917-1999), this desk can be used by a child as well as an adult (space under the desk: h=69 cm, l=57 cm).
