Ceramic vase from Accolay, 1950s. Height 23 cm. Diameter approximately 14.5 cm. Accolay ceramic vase in a baluster shape, characterised by an elegant silhouette with a generous body and flared neck. It features a thick cream-white glaze with a mineral appearance, animated by a remarkable network of crackles and rust-brown drips that highlight the relief of the material. The deliberately textured surface, almost volcanic, gives the piece a raw and organic character, emblematic of the productions from the Accolay workshops from the 1950s to the 1970s. The whole offers a wabi-sabi aesthetic, where the effects of firing and variations in the glaze make each vase unique.
