Art deco cut on pedestal rabat model in limoges porcelain by camille tharaud (1878-1956). Camille tharaud had developed a technique of grand feu enamel on raw porcelain, a technique that had been rewarded at the exposition des arts décoratifs in 1925. This process, which gives depth to the enamels, intensity to the colors and velvety to the material, is noticed by the painter and decorator henri rapin (1873-1939), who offers spontaneously and personally his help to the porcelain maker. He realizes with him new forms, which bear the names of flowers for vases, operas for covered vases and cities for cups. Simone lam decorated this cup with enamels of an intense green, applied in frieze, on a brown background with metallic effects. This cut, which dates from the 1940s, is marked under the base of the limoges factory stamp, that of camille tharaud and the handwritten signature of simone lam.
