Botanical fern boards: Rigid Lastrea and Mountain Ferns, (ref 281/2)

Two beautiful ancient chromolithographs of more than 128 years from a botanical encyclopedia, around 1889. These prints are becoming increasingly rare as the stock of original editions decreases. Fern footprints are particularly difficult to find. The plates are in good condition. Some have few imperfections, others have aging hues or freckles of character, one or two are more strongly freckles but you can see marks on the scans. Each print is blank on the back. The size of the paper varies slightly from one print to another, but measures about 6 X 9 inches or about 15 X 22 cm. Your prints will be protected by a polyethylene/cello bag, in a rigid packaging.
