Mahogany Buffet, Restoration period – Early 19th century

This mahogany burl veneered sideboard features a wide, slightly concave drawer with an authentic lock and an inlaid keyhole. The drawer is highlighted by a lemon tree inlay and a double moulding. Below, the double doors, equipped with a top and bottom lock with an inlaid keyhole and a cover joint, are decorated with motifs of compass roses in ebony and lemon tree. The interior offers a shelf. The whole piece rests on a plinth with a groove and inlay, ending in ball feet at the front. The top is adorned with an antique grey-silver marble slab. Very decorative and of good dimensions, this sideboard will easily become the centrepiece of your interior furniture. ******** Period: Early 19th century. Excellent condition.
