Green Eames Plastic Armchair by Charles and Ray Eames, 1950s

Iconic "Eames Plastic Chair" armchair by Charles and Ray Eames from the 50s. This armchair or office chair is composed of a backrest and a seat in green leather, the back of the backrest is in green polymer. The foot is in chromed metal. Scratches are to be noted on the back of the backrest (visible in the photos). It was created for the New York Museum of Modern Art's "Low Cost Furniture Design" competition in 1950, and was the first industrially manufactured plastic chair. DV176
