TV unit DF-2000 in brown, orange and white by Raymond Loewy.

The restoration team spared no effort on this genuine Raymond Loewy television unit, resulting in a piece that has exceeded expectations. The wooden doors and side panels have been repainted to match the original dark mocha colour, while the back panel remains original due to its excellent condition. The unit is fully finished at the back and is attractive from all angles. The orange plastic drawer fronts, injection-moulded, have been polished and buffed to achieve a glossy sheen. The piece rests on a brand new plinth base, made of solid pine and painted black to match the original. The white-painted top is now covered with a sheet of white laminate for increased durability and practicality, making it ideal for television and stereo components. Dimensions: width 131 cm, depth 47 cm, height 50 cm. The unit features two hinged doors with an adjustable/removable shelf and ample space for 30 cm LP records. The three drawers retain their original 'DF-2000' sticky labels. This piece showcases the futuristic use of colours and materials characteristic of the 1970s, with bright orange acrylic capturing the playful spirit of the era. The unit is versatile and functional, suitable for almost any room.
