This antique Italian cut crystal and beaded glass Genoese chandelier, dating from the late 19th century, embodies the sophisticated Louis XV "cage" style. Featuring a gilt bronze and brass structure, it is lavishly adorned with high-quality cut crystal pendants, glass beads, and a Murano glass stem that beautifully captures and reflects light. The chandelier is designed with twelve lights arranged on elegantly scrolling arms at alternating heights, creating a sense of movement and architectural balance. Fully dressed with strands of glass beads, faceted crystal drops, and elongated prisms, it culminates in a luminous ensemble typical of Italian cage chandeliers. A notable feature is the twisted Murano glass central stem. The original brass round drip pan is decorated with acanthus leaf patterns and candle-style bulb holders, offering versatility with exposed bulbs or traditional shades.
