This magnificent tazza bowl made of mouth-blown glass is the work of Verrerie La Rochère, founded in 1475 — one of the oldest glassworks in France still in operation. Its original label, still present on the bowl, attests to its artisanal authenticity. The wide, flared bowl, with slightly curved sides, rests on a baluster foot with a spherical knot, a classic and elegant shape inherited from glassmaking tradition. The pontil visible at the bottom interior discreetly reminds us of the blower's hand. The slight ripples in the glass, inherent to mouth-blowing, give the piece its subtle reflections and unique vibrancy — no two are identical.
