Vintage Grandessa rocking chair by Lena Larsson, Nesto edition, 1958

The Grandessa rocking chair is an icon of mid-20th-century Scandinavian design. Produced by the manufacturer Nesto from 1958, it quickly became a bestseller and made Swedish designer Lena Larsson famous as a furniture designer. The Grandessa seat is made entirely of beech wood, finished here with a black varnish but it also exists in white or simply varnished. The top of the backrest transforms into armrests in a fluid and organic way. The lightweight structure is designed to ensure a harmonious rocking motion.
