Engraving screaming eagle original plate of the chalcography of the louvre 1800

a rare original color engraving from the chalcography of the louvre! this ornithological work measures 76 X 56 cm and has an engraved part of 42 X 58 cm. excellent general condition, clean and fresh exemplary, without freckles. Central engraved part in perfect condition. Usual small folds in the margin, upper left corner. Small marks on the low margin inevitable by the printing technique. the original plate dating from around the year 1800 was used for this engraving, itself drawn around the 1990s. This plaque created during the egyptian campaign of napoleon I and is part of the famous series - the description of egypt - the engraving is by jules-césar savigny and the engraving by barraband del, bouquet sc, . the engraving shows the shrill eagle (aquila nævia / naevia) in all these details. this plate is authenticated by a dry stamp in relief at the bottom of the work.
