Gispen desk lamp

Very nice office lamp produced by Daalderop around 1928 and designed by Willem Hendrik Gispen. The model of this Gispen desk lamp is nicknamed De Tuimelaar. The heavy ball rests on a round ring so you can put it in almost any position. This one has a perfect balance. The entire lamp is nickeled and only the inside of the bell-shaped shade is white to reflect the light. Since it is an original of about 90 years, it is in excellent condition with only slight traces of wear and a beautiful patina. This lamp is equipped with a new cord, a switch and a fabric socket.
