Demille and starring charlton heston, yul brynner, anne baxter, edward g. Robinson and yvonne de carlo. Partial rehabilitation of his 1923 silent film, the ten commandments is the last film of the director, who dies three years later. Shot in egypt, mount sinai and the sinai peninsula, at the time of its theatrical release on november 8, 1956, it was the most expensive film ever produced and featured one of the largest casts ever assembled.
