Carved wooden frieze
Beautiful antique oak front panel, dark stained, from the late 19th to early 20th century, in the Henri II/regional style. Its wavy silhouette is crowned with five turned wooden finials. The center is adorned with a floral rosette, framed by scrolls and finely engraved foliage branches, with small berries. The oak grain beautifully stands out under the patina. Repurposed as wall decoration, it can adorn a headboard, a door or fireplace top, an entryway or dining room wall. An architectural element that adds character to a room, in a country house or curiosity cabinet spirit. Overall good condition, beautiful patina from use. An antique piece, originating from a piece of furniture: some signs of time that add to its charm.
