Elegant sculptural wall mirror produced by Still Glass Donati in Italy during the 1960s. The composition is formed by two elongated mirrored panels framed in warm-toned wood and connected by refined brass supports. The result is a highly architectural yet organic silhouette, characteristic of the sophisticated decorative language developed in Italian interiors during the postwar period. More than a functional mirror, the piece acts as a wall sculpture. The interplay between the slender wooden forms, reflective surfaces and delicate brass details creates a strong vertical presence while maintaining an unusual sense of lightness and balance. Its biomorphic lines evoke the refined modernist aesthetic that distinguished many Italian decorative objects of the era. The mirror works particularly well in entryways, bedrooms, dressing areas or carefully curated mid-century interiors, where its sculptural form can be appreciated both as a reflective surface and as a decorative focal point. One mirrored panel remains original and displays natural signs of age consistent with time, while the second mirror was professionally replaced during the life of the piece. The original Still Glass Donati label is still present on the reverse. An uncommon and highly decorative example of Italian modernist design from the 1960s.
