An authentic piece of craftsmanship with exceptional character. This master piece is a rarity in the antiques market, having retained all of its 45 original drawers (made of rigid cardboard). A true testament to the artisanal know-how of the 19th century, it stands out for its robust structure and monumental configuration. In its first ownership, it was used for the glove trade and later, in a second ownership, as a seed merchant's piece. This explains the presence of certain labels on the side of the drawers. Subsequently, it was kept as a piece of craftsmanship. In generally good condition, it naturally shows signs of use typical of this type of patina.
