Vintage 1930s Rex Electric American Art Deco Desk Lamp

An original near-antique art deco desk lamp with pen-holder, made in the 1930s by american lighting firm, rex electric manufacturing corporation of new york. The lamp features a heavy cast iron base with a stepped foot that doubles as a pen-holder, an adjustable shade mounted on a ball socket, and a classic pull-chain lamp holder. The lamp has been thoroughly cleaned and rewired with premium italian double insulated 3-core cable sheathed in a vintage-style grey linen braid for a period look. An earthed tag has been concealed in the base. The lamp accepts a single e26 / e27 edison screw bulb. Marked to the base: rex elec. Mfg. Corp. N.y. U.s.a. There are some marks and wear to original paint, but has lots of character and displays brilliantly.
