The Tenera series was designed in the 1960s by Nils Thorsson (1898-1975) for Aluminia, a factory whose name disappeared in 1969 to make way for Royal Copenhagen. The motifs in this series were created by other artists, such as those of this pitcher, dated 1963, which are due to the Danish artist Marianne Johnson. It contains these floral and abstract motifs, characteristic of the Tenera and Baca series. Note that this pitcher is complete, with its cap made of earthenware and cork.
