Ara floor lamp, by Ilaria Marelli

The ara floor lamp designed by Ilaria Marelli in the 1980s is composed of a rectangular base, a double structure consisting of a fixed lacquered body and a rotating element in polished aluminum. The light sources are fluorescent (fluorescent tube) and halogen (r7s). This ara anthracite floor lamp was purchased new in 2013, used until 2019 then stored in good conditions. Note that the floor lamp is not functional as it is because no dimmer/switch is present on the electrical power cable (broken during transport). To make it functional, it will therefore be necessary to install a switch + dimmer block on the power supply cable, so that the two light sources can be adjusted separately. The halogen light source at the top produces a pleasant warm light upwards, while the lighting in the reflector creates diffused light.
