Art Deco Pierre d'Avesn bowl or vase. Rare, vibrant orange pressed glass vase attributed to the French sculptor and glassmaker Pierre d'Avesn. This piece was created while he was working for Daum. The exterior is opaque, the interior glossy. Shine a light on the vase and it reveals superb reflections. Width: 29 cm, Height: 13 cm. Weight: 1.868 kg. There are only a few very minor signs of wear, which blend seamlessly into the glass. Expert's note (email available): "Not all of Pierre d'Avesn's creations are signed. Some were signed in ink (which fades over time), some are signed, some are unsigned, and others are never signed, especially when he was a designer employed by other glassmakers." This piece was created while he was working for Daum.
