Stoneware rice alcohol pot, coated with a deep black tenmoku glaze, characteristic of utilitarian Chinese pottery from the late Qing period or early Republic, probably from Hunan or Guangdong province. Remarkable simplicity: stout body, rounded shoulder, small neck with a curled lip. The bottom of the pot is left in unglazed raw stoneware, following the tradition of handmade storage ceramics. It reveals a dense, solid grey clay, with authentic traces of firing — a testament to artisanal production. In very good condition (wear and usage cracks, patina of age, no chips). Can be repurposed as a vase or a simple decorative element on a bookshelf or elsewhere... Dimensions: ⌀13 X H15.5cm.
