Worker, sewing box

Charming wooden sewing box with pretty metal handles whose numerous compartments will allow you to store all your sewing equipment, but which can also be used as storage for anything else: small painting or drawing equipment, jewelry, makeup … the two upper bins are divided into three parts, which is very practical for sorting small equipment. It has a pretty design, simple with rounded edges, reminiscent of the scandinavian style, it probably dates from the 50s or 60s. It is in good general condition, solid and functional, very clean interior, but has some slight marks from its age and from use: small chips or abrasions on the upper corners, a little corrosion on the handles (but not very visible because located at the curved junction with the wood). A small piece of the wood veneer just above one of the hinges came loose, but I was able to glue it back on very cleanly (see very close-up photo). I cleaned it carefully and just gave a very light coat of varnish to the upper side. Inside I used white vinegar and essential oils to clean it because it smelled dusty and musty (it contained old spools of thread, ribbons and fabrics which contributed to the diffusion of this smell). It's obviously much better now, but the smell still lingers a little, it will dissipate with time (and thanks to the small pieces of fabric with mint essential oil that I leave inside while waiting for this worker is sold). It measures 36 cm in length (38 with the handles), 21 cm in width (23 cm if you count the side slats), 20 cm in height for the trunk, 28 cm including the central handle. Opened, its length increases to 88 cm.
