Original and unique, I created this table lamp with a ceramic foot of a pretty bordeaux red made by verceram, signed and numbered 5178. This ceramic most certainly dates from the 50s. Born a second time after the war in montreuil, the verceram factory distinguished itself throughout the following two decades. It became known in the 1950s for utilitarian pieces with innovative curves and decorations. Production is industrialized, parts are molded and differentiation is asserted by the variety of enamels. The most famous are iridescent black and white, red and white, orange and white and to a lesser extent red and brown tobacco. The pieces are carefully enamelled and guarantee a very high level of finishes. Le corbusier is said to have a particular attraction for this quality industrial production, which was the vector of that "new spirit" which he called for and for which he worked throughout his life. The factory ceased its activity in 1971. Information about the verceram lamp. Interior lighting, except wet rooms and children's rooms. Cord for lamp, braided textile cable, color gold 1.80 m, made in italy. Luminaire class 2, ip20.220v. E14 bulb socket, bulb not included. Max 6w (led bulb recommended) Dimensions: height 26 cm;  diameter 11.5 cm. Ref 2578.
