Old painting, portrait of a notable, dated 1881 and signed.

Very nice framed portrait; oil on canvas depicting the portrait of a woman with blue eyes, wearing a pretty black dress very elegant with a blouse embroidered on the collar and a white scarf. She took care to comb her hair back for the occasion and put on jewelry (earrings, necklace and watch chain with exposed gusset to show her social status and financial ease. He exudes a powerful and serious and determined look at the same time thanks to the artist who has been able to bring out these expressions thanks to the play of light. It has a more modern gilded wooden setting. It is signed lower left but not easily identifiable (leclercg or seclercg) dated 1881. On the back there is also a trace of name on the back, maybe to identify the character but adds after I think so no certainty. State: no restorations, small scratches scattered on the edges, normal given its age, but absolutely nothing shocking. The frame also has some small shocks.
